Please research the exact tarantula you are buying before making a purchase as each tarantula is different and has specific needs. If you have any questions there is basic information on each tarantula here on the website and plenty of other information online.
You can either choose to get a more expensive enclosure from various websites that are premade or you can opt out to get a nice acrylic Tupperware and drill the proper ventilation holes for the tarantula. Both work perfectly fine.
I keep my tarantula room at around 75°F and put cooler kept species down low and warmer ones up high.
I feed my tarantulas bi-weekly or weekly depending on the size of the tarantula itself and the size of its abdomen. You can feed your tarantulas a variety of insects such as; dubia roaches, hissing roaches, red runners, meal worms, supper worms, horn worms, and crickets. Additionally for larger tarantulas you can feed occasional pinky mice or feeder lizards however this leaves a big mess and must be promptly cleaned to prevent any bacteria or fungus from growing.
Yes, all spiders are venomous to some degree. If you are bitten there stay calm as there is no serious risk except the EXTREMELY RARE case that you are allergic. Wash the wound with room temperature water and keep it clean and the pain should subside within an hour depending on the species. Take Tylenol or Ibuprofen to help mange the pain and apply an ice pack. If symptoms are severe or persist for more than a day contact a physician. If haired, you can try to use tape to remove as many hairs as possible and wash the area with soap and water. Afterwards apply an icepack and anti-itch cream to the area. If haired in the eyes and symptoms are severe, please contact a physician.
What tarantula shouldn't you buy next is the better question. My honest answer would be, "Which one don't you have?".
