- Safety Disclaimer
Also known as the Peach Earth Tiger, these are one of my favorite Asian Arboreal tarantulas. They have a wonderful light peach pink hue through their entire body, hence the name. Even while being an old world world, arboreal tarantula, they can be slightly defensive and lightning fast but do make good species for someone relatively new to this category while still having some experience.
Feeding
Crickets, Dubia, and Red Runners.
If the prey is too big then pre-kill and remove any left over food the following day.
Facts
Locale - East Indonesia
Category - Old World, Arboreal
Size - Females reach around 7" while males are usually smaller. This species grows relatively quick.
Lifespan - Females 13+ years, Males 4-5
Care
Temperature - Kept like most other tarantulas at 75°-85°F
Humidity - 60%-70% is a standard range to support healthy living, a water bowl can be used but I do not use for smaller specimens.
Housing - Being an arboreal species they thrive in a more vertical enclosure roughly 3 times their legspan. I also like to have deeper airy substrate as these guys are opportunistic burrowers.
