Also known as the Golden Cuban Tarantula, this is one of my favorites from the Phormictopus genus. They flaunt a bright metallic bronze color that is always stunning in anyone's collection. These creatures grow extremely large and and extremely fast and carry a big personality, making these the perfect specimen for anybody's collection.
Feeding
Crickets, Dubia, and Red Runners.
If the prey is too big then pre-kill and remove any left over food the following day.

Category - New World, Terrestrial
Size - Females reach around 8" while males are usually smaller. This species grows extremely fast.
Lifespan - Females 15+ years, Males 4-5
Care
Temperature - Kept like most other tarantulas at 75°-85°F
Humidity - 60%-70% is a standard range to support healthy living, a water bowl can be used but I do not use for smaller specimens.
Housing - Being a terrestrial species they thrive in a more horizontal enclosure roughly 3 times their legspan.
