Also known as the Gooty Sapphire Tarantula , this is one of our personal favorites. With bright blues and white highlights and golden bands this looks like something straight out of a coloring book. Extremely fast and super agile its like these guys just teleport around the enclosure. With all of that combined it makes these guys the ultimate center display piece.

Feeding

Crickets, Dubia, and Red Runners.

If the prey is too big then pre-kill and remove any left over food the following day.

• Locale - India

• Category - Old World, Arboreal

• Size - Females reach around 7" while males are usually smaller. This species grows at a moderate rate.

• Lifespan - Females 12+ years, Males 2-4

Care

• Temperature - Kept like most other tarantulas at 75°-85°F

• Humidity - 70%-80% is a standard range to support healthy living, a water bowl can be used but I do not use for smaller specimens.

• Housing - Being an arboreal species they thrive in a more vertical enclosure roughly 3 times their legspan.
